About Me
I’m a writer, researcher, advocate, and Founder and CEO of Beyond The Box Advocacy.
I’m interested in how policy affects the choices people with disabilities can make about where they live, go to school, work, build relationships, and plan for the future.
I bring research, advocacy, writing, and lived experience together. I’m especially interested in disability support service portability and continuity because reliable support can affect whether someone can move, pursue an opportunity, or make a major life decision.
Across my work, I keep coming back to the same question: What would become possible if disability systems were built around the lives people actually want to lead?
Ms. Los Angeles 2026
I’m proud to serve as the inaugural United Crown of America Ms. Los Angeles 2026.
My platform focuses on representation for girls and women with disabilities. For younger girls with disabilities, I want adulthood to come with visible examples of women building careers, pursuing education, forming relationships, leading, dressing beautifully, setting huge goals, and creating lives that feel like their own.
More examples of adulthood among people with disabilities can give girls a wider sense of who they might become.
Image Description: Lilly sits in her power wheelchair in front of a large outdoor fountain on a sunny day. She is wearing a light pink tweed dress, a sparkly crown, and a white sash that reads “Ms. Los Angeles.” Trees, buildings, and outdoor seating surround the courtyard.
My Platform: See Her. Be Her.
My platform is called See Her. Be Her. and focuses on increasing disability representation and helping girls with disabilities see women with disabilities represented as leaders, professionals, community members, and titleholders.
My hope is that girls with disabilities grow up seeing people with disabilities living full, ambitious, ordinary lives. Seeing more examples of adulthood can expand what they imagine for their own futures.
